GCC - 651 Advanced Neuropharmacology/Neurophysiolo


The intent of this course is to teach the student how to think about brain function. The class will utilize the small group/interactive discussion format of selected topics involving nervous system disorder/functions. Students will receive class notes from the Pharm/Physio class and will be expected to review the drugs and drug interactions prior to each class. During the class, the focus will be an in-depth discussion of the pathophysiology of an assigned CNS disease, condition and function. The relevant anatomy and physiology of the brain areas involved will be discussed by the group with the intent to demonstrate how the pathophysiology emerges and how it is treated.
