RMD - 749 Rush Integrated Clinical Experiences


This 12-week longitudinal course is designed to provide third-year medical students the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to become physicians who are able to excel in clinical medicine, education, research, and service. The third (M3) year is a time of immersion in clinical medicine; this course provides for longitudinal coursework connecting clinical skills and knowledge to the many roles a physician plays. Students will explore the complex and integrated role of the physician as scholar, leader, collaborator, educator, and advocate, among others, as they participate in this course. Students will also consider their personal and professional development, both as individuals and as members of the medical and larger community, as part of this course. This course allows students to develop skills in self-directed learning and integrate subjective and objective data into their learning plans in this course. Assessments include but not limited to: mandatory attendance, participation and session evaluations. There is no written examination. Required Retake Counts for Credit: Yes.
