SLP - 512P SLP Practicum II


This is a supervised clinical experience with clients/patients/students presenting with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, motor-speech and/or swallowing impairments. Practicum students demonstrate evaluative, therapeutic, counseling and report-writing skills for early practicum experiences. Relationship of speech-language pathology to health care, education and other professions is further examined. Experience includes patients/clients/students across the life span and from diverse cultural backgrounds, in a variety of settings. Opportunities for continuous professional and interprofessional education (IPE) and development to enhance team performance and outcomes are available. Prerequisites: SLP-506L and SLP-511P.
