RMD - 705 Health Equity Program: Global and Local Perspective


The Health Equity and Social Justice Leadership Program is a four-year, longitudinal curriculum focused on both global and local health equity issues. The program is designed to empower students with knowledge, skills and experiences that they can use to fight against health inequity throughout their careers. Students in the program will be immersed in a supportive environment through which they can collaborate with RUSH community health and global health initiatives. For the first two years of the Health Equity program, students will participate in an elective composed of both classroom and community experiences, as well as a longitudinal project with a community organization. The third year will include a self-study curriculum as well as quarterly seminars. In the fourth year of the program, students will complete an equity focused elective that can be global or local in addition to monthly seminars with local and national experts.
