HSC - 459 Pharmacology

This course will provide an understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications used for diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases. The basic principles underlying pharmacological treatments will be stressed. An overview of the autonomic nervous system pharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, central nervous system pharmacology, analgesic medications, drugs used to treat diabetes, hypoglycemic drugs, antibiotics and chemotherapy will be discussed.
