PHA - 595 Master’s Research Project I


This is the first of a two-part course sequence that will integrate the critical thinking, application of research data analysis, and presentation skills taught throughout the program in a formative research capstone project. Students are expected to apply knowledge obtained from PHA 521: Research and Statistics and participation in journal club activities in the development of their project. Students will work with an assigned faculty advisor to develop a clinical research question and gather, analyze, and critique relevant research literature related to the proposed question to develop an extensive literature review paper. Students will use this information in the next part of the course sequence to prepare a master’s capstone project designed to develop a potential research study.
