GCC - 505 Techniques in Biomedical Sciences

The first portion of this course will introduce students to the laboratories and share a deeper look into the research opportunities available at Rush. The laboratory portion of the course will provide a didactic overview and a demonstration of certain laboratory techniques. Topics include electrophoresis, genomics, PCR, tissue culture, cell-sorting techniques, ELISA, chromatography/LC mass spectrometry, imaging techniques, histocytochemistry and microscopy.
