SLP - 589P SLP Practicum IV

This is an advanced clinical experience with clients/patients/students presenting with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, motor-speech, and/or swallowing impairments. Students will devise and integrate evaluative, therapeutic, counseling, and report-writing skills with patients/clients/students across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds, in a variety of settings. Relationship between speech-language pathology and health care, education, and other professions are further examined. Opportunities for continuous professional and interprofessional education (IPE) and development to enhance team performance and outcomes are available. Prerequisite: SLP-513P. Offered: Fall.
