NSG - 505P Public Health Nursing Practicum This course provides the opportunity for the learner to apply knowledge and skills in providing nursing care across the life span for individuals, families and groups in community settings. The learner will apply the ecological model to integrate evidence-based health promotion, prevention and risk reduction strategies for individuals, families and groups within the context of the communities in which they live. The impact of public health laws and regulations on public safety and access to care are examined. Corequisite: NSG-505. Pre or Corequisites: NSG-503, NSG-503P and NSG-524. Offered: fall and spring.
