SLP - 590P SLP Practicum V

This is an advanced supervised clinical experience with clients, patients and students presenting with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, motor-speech and/or swallowing impairments. Practicum students further develop and formulate evaluative, therapeutic, counseling and report-writing skills and procedures for advanced practicum experiences. Relationship of speech-language pathology to health care, education and other professions is further examined. Experience includes patients, clients and students across the life span and from diverse cultural backgrounds, in a variety of settings. Opportunities for continuous professional and interprofessional education (IPE) and development to enhance team performance and outcomes are available. Prerequisite: SLP-589P. Offered: spring.
