OBG - 767 Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility This course provides clinical experience in diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic management of couples with infertility and women with gynecologic endocrine problems. The students participate in routine diagnostic studies such as ovulation timing, postcoital tests, endocrine evaluation, etc. and are introduced to the use of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as hysterosalpingography, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, hydrotubation, etc. The students scrub on surgical reconstructive procedures involving female reproductive system and participate in the activities of the in-vitro fertilization program. Laboratory experience in performing hormone radioimmunoassay, sperm separation, and other procedures may also be included. Offered: fall, spring and summer. Retake Counts for Credit: Yes.
