CDS - 558 Dysphagia

Normal anatomy and physiology of swallowing, evaluation of disordered oropharyngeal swallowing and treatment for swallowing disorders are studied. Topics include instrumental and noninstrumental examinations with special emphasis on videoflouroscopic swallow study procedures and analysis. Swallowing disorders in various populations across the age span are discussed. Prerequisite: CDS 537. Credit Hours: (4)
