HSC - 301 Introduction to the Health Professions

This course will introduce the student to the broad array of health occupations and professions that are essential to the provision of health care. Nursing, medicine and allied health will be reviewed and the role, function, education, licensure and scope of practice of the various health professions will be discussed. Core interprofessional health care competencies will be reviewed. Prerequisite: Departmental permission. Credit Hours: (4)
