NTR - 605 Advanced Mineral Metabolism

This course provides students with an in-depth examination of the understanding of essential minerals with respect to current dietary reference intakes with an emphasis on critical analyses of the criterion/criteria of adequacy for specific age groups. Additional discussion and evidence is assessed regarding the basis for tolerable upper limits for each mineral. Prerequisite: Departmental approval. Credit Hours: (3)
