PAS - 580 Master’s Research Project

Following the research and statistical methods discussed in CHS 503 , this course further reinforces the skills necessary to become proficient in reviewing, analyzing, and applying current research literature towards effective clinical decision-making. To document research competency, students will develop a Master’s Research Portfolio, which will provide an opportunity to reflect on different aspects of research, and to demonstrate competency in meeting various research benchmarks. The cornerstone of the Masters’ Research Portfolio is the Masters Capstone Project. This project will require students to address an issue of clinical interest specifically related to the reduction of health disparities and improving quality of life and health outcomes, utilizing the Healthy People 2020 objectives. Students are required to investigate existent research literature to formulate a research question, and create study methodology and assessment tools related to their research question.
