NSG - 505P Public Health Nursing Practicum


This course provides the opportunity for the learner to apply knowledge and skills in providing nursing care across the lifespan for individuals, families, and groups in community settings. The learner will apply the ecological model to integrate evidence-based health promotion, prevention, and risk reduction strategies for individuals, families and groups within the context of the communities in which they live. The impact of public health laws and regulations on public safety and access to care are examined. Corequisite: NSG-505. Pre- or Corequisites: NSG-503, NSG-503P, and NSG-524. Offered: Fall & Spring.
