OCC - 501L Functional Anatomy w/Lab


The primary goal of this course is to understand and evaluate the musculoskeletal system related to the skill components of occupational behavior. The gross anatomical structures of are presented with application of the assessment and treatment of occupational performance dysfunction. The student will learn through lecture and prosected laboratory specimens the gross structures of the human body, with an emphasis on the structures vital for functional performance. The cardiorespiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, and head/neck systems will be covered; a large content focus is on the musculoskeletal system with emphasis on the upper extremities and upper trunk.
