CLM - 592 Ethics


Course examines the ethical issues in the contexts of clinical laboratory science and the practice of management. Course provides solutions to ethical challenges that arise in the daily activities of the clinical laboratory. Course will introduce the students to the principles of health care ethics, codes of ethics, administrative practice including the decision-making process, allowing them to explore issues and raise questions. An in-depth series of ethical issues and behaviors are presented and analyzed. Case studies and online discussions will include topics of lab testing, quality control, risk management, recordkeeping, corporate compliance, research, inspections, employees and education.
