EMD - 716 Emergency Medicine

Students will evaluate adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Room under the supervision of an attending physician. Fourteen eight-hour shifts are required over the four-week block. There will be at least two weekend shifts, two night shifts, and two evening shifts (actual scheduling will take place at orientation). Grading is based on clinical performance, participation in didactic sessions, a presentation at the end of the rotation, and an oral exam. This clerkship is intended for M4 students only.
