MLS - 520 Clinical Immunohematology Blood group antigens and antibodies from the discoveries of Landsteiner in 1900 to the present day are studied. Blood banking procedures involved in drawing, testing, storing and transfusing whole blood and its components are discussed. The laboratory section will deal with the basic blood bank procedures including ABO grouping. RH typing, compatibility testing and special antibody studies. Prerequisite: Departmental permission.
