OBG - 767 Reproductive Endocrinology & Infert

This elective provides clinical experience in diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic management of couples with infertility and women with gynecologic endocrine problems. The students will prepare and participate in discussions related to the R2 and R3 learning objectives for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. The students will also participate in routine diagnostic studies such as ovulation timing, postcoital tests, endocrine evaluation, etc., and are introduced to the use of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as hysterosalpingography, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, etc. The students scrub on surgical reconstructive procedures involving female reproductive system and participate in the activities of the in-vitro fertilization program. Laboratory experience in observing sperm separation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection and other procedures may also be included. Elective
