NSG - 549 Neonatal Pharmacotherapeutics


This course is designed to provide advanced practice nursing students with a working knowledge of the impact of neonatal physiology on drug pharmacology. Building on the student’s knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, content includes the role and responsibilities of the APN in prescribing medications, considerations in medication selection for the treatment of a variety of neonatal conditions, diseases and disorders, as well as monitoring the physiological responses to such interventions.
