PMR - 791 Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

This course introduces the student to the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). The course includes introduction in the care of patients with disabilities due to strokes, spinal cord injuries, head trauma, amputations, movement disorders, arthroplasties, etc. In addition, the student is expected to observe, understand, and learn what services are provided by the allied health professional staff, and when it is appropriate to prescribe these services.
