RC - 605 Disease Management

Provides an in depth discussion of the concepts, procedures, and techniques used in the care of patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. The development and implementation of disease management programs for patients with asthma, COPD, and other chronic conditions is presented. Pulmonary rehabilitation, patient education, and smoking cessation programs are reviewed. Assessment and care plan development in the ambulatory and acute care settings is described, to include diagnosis and treatment of common disorders.
