HSM - 616 Health Informatics


The purpose of this course is to prepare future health care executives with the knowledge and skills they need to leverage information gathered from and processed by electronic systems. Students will learn the value of information systems from a business and clinical perspective and then be introduced to Health Informatics, a field concerned with the use of information technology in healthcare. Finally, students will receive an overview of data analytics with an emphasis placed on developing students’ abilities to identify, understand, manage and effectively utilize electronic health care data.
