HSC - 358 Global Health


This course introduces major global health challenges, programs and policies. The array determinants of health will be examined with a global perspective. Principles and practices of population-based health will be introduced. Causes of poor health access and adverse health outcomes across various populations will be discussed, as well as issues related to cultural competency. This course explores the complexities and dimensions of health and illness through diverse cultural perspectives.
